Course Overview:
With life being as unpredictable as it is, becoming ever more complicated and chaotic in a VUCA world, the skills of focus and self-control have never been more needed. Focus is the skill of being able to maintain a clear vision of something and having the persistence and perseverance to achieve that goal, regardless of what obstacles are in your way. Self-control is the ability to control emotions, desires and needs, in situations, usually difficult ones, in order to achieve a goal you have in mind. Research has shown that both focus and self-control have plenty of benefits, both mental and physical, and can lead to a better overall quality of life.
What is focus and self-control, and why are they important skills to have?
In this course you will gain tips to maintain a clear vision of something and achieve the persistence and perseverance to obtain that goal, despite the obstacles that you will find on the way.
Self-control is the ability to control emotions, desires, and needs in order to achieve a particular goal, especially in difficult situations. These skills are essential because they can lead to better mental and physical health, improved productivity, and better overall quality of life.
Without focus and self-control, people can easily get distracted, procrastinate, or give up too easily, which can hinder their success in achieving their goals. Additionally, multitasking can lead to distractions, lower productivity, and errors. By prioritising tasks, creating a schedule, blocking social media, taking breaks, and finding what works best for each individual, people can improve their focus and self-control, and achieve their goals more effectively.
